Ik stuurde je zondag j.l. een briefje. Vandaag bemerk ik dat ik het naar \u201cBrussel\u201d gestuurd heb (1) \u2013 wellicht komt het aldus met vertraging (of helemaal niet) terecht. Daar er geen afzenderadres op staat doe je wellicht best het postkantoor Brussel te verwittigen.
\nLaat je mij eens weten of je goed thuis kwam \u2013 en of mijn eerste briefje je bereikte?

Commentaar<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

(1) “naar ‘Brussel’ gestuurd”<\/em>: twijfel slaat toe…\u00a0 Nand beseft dat zijn brief van gisteren misschien de geadresseerde niet zal bereiken, Sim woont immers in Schaarbeek en hij had op het omslagadres onder de juiste straatnaam ‘Brussel’ geschreven. Omdat hij toch de voor hem ietwat gewaagde stap had gezet om onmiddellijk na de “romantische avond” Sim aan te schrijven, neemt hij het zekere voor het onzekere en schrijft een tweede brief naar het juiste adres. Een telefoontje is op dit ogenblik nog uit den boze, want Nand houdt zich zoals een gentleman aan de regels van de “etiquette”.\u00a0 We kunnen het ons vandaag, in een tijd van supersnelle communicatie, nog moeilijk voorstellen, maar het is duidelijk dat hij op hete kolen zit. Wat hij niet weet is dat Sim ondertussen al geantwoord heeft op zijn brief (zie het vorig bericht), die wel degelijk op het juiste adres, en op tijd is toegekomen. Beide brieven hebben elkaar gekruist, en, zoals zal blijken uit zijn antwoord van 11 augustus op Sims eerste brief, heeft haar antwoord diepe indruk gemaakt…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
